Conestoga Boys Lacrosse sends "Comforts from Home"
Boys lacrosse team partners with St. Norbert's
For the past two years the Conestoga Boys Lacrosse program has collected items to donate to St. Norbert's Church to send to service men and women deployed overseas through their "Comforts From Home" program. Varsity player Mikey Prestipino coordinated this year's donations by asking players on all three teams (Varsity, JVA, JVB) to donate to the cause. The players collected their donations and met at St. Norbert's church to help sort and box the items for shipment to the troops. Mikey has a personal connection as his older brother, Nick (a Conestoga Lacrosse alum) graduated from West Point and is now on active duty. According to Junior Brendan Murphy, "it was an easy way to give back to the people who work every day to protect our country. Conestoga lacrosse has several former players currently serving and we want them to know that we support them."
