Coach Wagner spent three seasons at Denison University in Granville, Ohio as the defensive coordinator for the Mens Lacrosse team. In that time, the Big Red went 30-5 with two North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament Championships,  and an NCAA Quarterfinal appearance, and two regular season NCAC championships. Five Denison players were named to the USILA Division III All-American team.

Wagner arrived at Denison following a successful playing career and coaching stint at NCAA Division II Le Moyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. During his time as an assistant coach for Le Moyne, the Dolphins compiled a record of 65-8, including 10 All-Northeast-10 defensive player selections, 12 USILA defensive All-Americans, four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and an NCAA Division II National Championship title in 2016, marking their fifth national championship in program history with an 8-4 victory over Limestone College.

As a player at Le Moyne, the four-year defenseman helped the Dolphins go 60-8 during his playing career, which included two NE-10 conference championships, three trips to the NCAA Tournament and his first NCAA Division II National Championship in 2013.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Wagner spent four years at the club level as a head coach for Sweetlax Lacrosse out of Rochester, N.Y. As a head coach, Wagner formulated both practice and game plans, managed try-outs and conducted player evaluations, and prepared player skill assessments for the company’s college placement coordinator.

A native of Delmar, N.Y., Wagner graduated from Le Moyne in the spring of 2014 with his bachelor’s degree in sociology, with a concentration on human services.
