FALL SPIRITWEAR

Conestoga Boys Lacrosse Gear Store is OPEN! Order now through October 5th via LINK. There have been significant difficulties in opening the store given the global supply chain being impacted by COVID-19. The ability to acquire products and maintain inventory has created significant delays and backorders. We will do our best to open a spring merchandise store.

SEVEN SUMMITS 5K TURKEY TROT

Seven Summits sponsoring 5K Turkey Trot - Help Hope Live for Austin Beltrante - Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 25, 2021 at 8:45am at Wilson Farm Park in Chesterbrook. SIGN UP HERE!

On May 16th, 2021, 13 year old Austin’s life was forever altered by a horrific accident. While playing with friends on a local train trestle bridge, Austin’s foot accidentally touched a live wire. He was electrocuted, caught on fire, and fell 25 feet to the tracks below. He was burned over 83% of his body and has been in St. Christophers’s Children's Hospital for over 4 months.

Austin’s fight for survival combined with the prayers of his Army have allowed him to endure over 25 surgeries, multiple infections, and a continuous series of setbacks and victories. He has lost both hands and one foot providing for a very difficult road ahead.

Austin is going to face years of ongoing surgeries, skin grafting, PT/OT, counseling and many other aspects of recovery. Although no one believed he would survive 24 hours, his story has become one of hope, faith, and belief that anything is possible. For this reason, his family has partnered with Help Hope Live, a non-profit that supports community-based fundraising to help families with catastrophic injury. Donations to Help Hope LIve will help ease the financial burdens that the Beltrante family is facing. Austin’s strength has proven that the words “I CAN” and “I WILL” are the only way. He is truly a miracle! Come support AUSTIN’s ARMY on November 25th, 2021

This activity will be the coaching staff inviting players and selecting teams as needed.

We will also be offering OPTIONAL off-season training beginning in January running up to Spring Lacrosse tryouts with Nick Sita which will focus on strength and agility training. This is open to all stoga lax players 9th-12th grades.

HALLOWEEN TRAIL

This fall we are going to join forces with the Girls Lacrosse team to have a Stoga Lax Halloween Trail. The DeVuono Family has graciously offered their property for the teams to do a Halloween Trail on Saturday, October 23rd 6:00PM to 8:30PM. Please SIGN UP to volunteer as we will need players and parents help to make this a success. It is a great fundraising opportunity to raise money for the Peter Kienzle Fighting Back Scholarship Program (FBSP).

The Fighting Back Scholarship Program (FBSP) is an organization based in Malvern that assists individuals recovering from a life-changing illness or injury, and who are without the finances needed to participate in a rehabilitative exercise program. The Peter Kienzle Fund was established in honor of Peter Kienzle, husband, father and cherished member of our lacrosse community. He graduated from Conestoga High School in 1986, where he played lacrosse and football. Peter's last time on Teamer Field was the inaugural Lax Fest in 2014. The Peter Kienzle Fund annually awards four to five scholarships to individuals who are clients of the FBSP, giving these individuals the financial support necessary to continue with their rehabilitative treatment. The scholarships awarded are based on financial need, but the recipients are also individuals who have steadfastly demonstrated a commitment to overcoming the limitations caused by their injury or illness with Courage, Desire, and Perseverance. The FBSP’s clients include veterans and civilians, all of whom have remarkable stories of set-backs, goals and their own unique successes. FBSP’s success depends greatly on the support of our community.
